ORADELL, NJ - On Thursday, January 26th Jon Poppe was named the 34th Head Coach of the Union College Football. Jon is a 2003 graduate of Bergen Catholic. Jon success in the classroom and on the gridiron continued at Williams College. For the past decade plus he has made a name for himself as a standout coach in the Ivy League. He spent the past five seasons as a secondary and special teams coach at Harvard university, where his units were consistently among the best in the country at the NCAA Division 1 Football Championship Series Level.
Poppe's philosophy as a football coach boils down to five letters - FIGHT (Family Inspires Growth Habits Team). His passion, energy, and leadership were on full display during his first press conference in Schenectady, NY.
